SOME THOUGHTS FOR MAY

It’s SPRING CLEANING MONTH!!!!!!!!

PLEASE consider lending a hand cleaning up the clubhouse and grounds.  Remember, it’s YOUR club!!!

ON A HISTORICAL NOTE

On May 3 & 4 the Century Sportsman’s Club will hold its 13th Annual Cliffy Johnson Memorial Frontier Games.  Many members are unaware of how and why these games came about, so “On a Historical Note” we’ll try to fill you in.

On April 22, 1995 the Century Sportsman’s Club started its Frontiersman Shoot with a dedication of our rifle range “to a friend who will be missed for many years to come.  His tireless dedication to the preservation of our 2nd amendment rights should be an inspiration to us all.”  At noontime on April 22, 1995 the range was dedicated to Cliffy Johnson, III.

On April 19, 2008 members of the club joined together for a ceremonial shot in honor of the Battles of Lexington and Concord and the “shot heard ‘round the world”.
