Committee Rules Rev. April, 2009

Membership

  1. Letters excusing members from attending meetings are to be on company letterhead
  2. Committee chairmen will decide who will be on their committees.
  3. Changes from one committee to another may be done only with the knowledge and agreement of both chairmen and the membership chairman. All new members will be assigned to house committee
  4. If a club meeting extends 2 hours or more membership may be excused at that time with no penalty and no role call will be accepted after such time
  5. Any member responding to a certified letter will be responsible for the delivery fee.

All members are responsible for a returned check fee of $20.00

 

Calendar / Club House

  1. Members are responsible for securing the club house when they leave (including lights, windows, doors, etc.)
  2. Members and guests shall use the member’s entrance while outside rentals are in the hall.
  3. All hall rentals must be approved by the House Chairman
  4. Any rental fee for bookings beyond a 12 hour period will be discussed and voted on by the B.O.D.
  5. Members renting the hall are responsible for the set-up and clean-up of their event. (Member hall rental fee is $50) bartender fee is extra $25 and a $50 fee if hall is left a mess.
  6. All rental fees to non member’s private functions are to be determined by the rental agreement. (hall rental fee, bartender fee, clean-up fee)
  7. Thermostats are not to be changed by anyone except House Chairman or delegate.
  8. House members are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the club house as assigned by the chairman.
  9. All entrances must be maintained and operable for all fire exits

All members are responsible to clean up after their guests inside the club house

Bar

  1. Chairman is responsible for bar operations and work assignments.
  2. Bartenders must obey all the laws of the commonwealth of Massachusetts as well as the town licensing laws.
  3. Chairman shall be tip certified and all bartenders should be tip certified or accompanied by a tip certified member.
  4. Chairman shall handle any decisions made concerning the bar.
  5. Bartenders will dress appropriately for such functions
  6. Bartenders shall keep accurate records for each event (tape, slips, inventory, etc.)

Members are responsible for cleaning up after themselves in the members bar

 

Kitchen

  1. Members wishing to use the kitchen need Kitchen chairman approval prior to use.
  2. Committee members will work as requested by chairman.
  3. No person shall borrow utensils from the kitchen without Chairman’s approval.
  4. No outside kitchen rentals
  5.  Members may use kitchen with kitchen chairman’s approval

 

Grounds

  1. NO LITTERING anyone seen doing so should be reported to the B.O.D.
  2. Only registered vehicles on club grounds, and those vehicles are restricted to certain and definite roadways.
  3. Firewood cut and split for the clubhouse use only
  4. No borrowing of club grounds equipment

 

Beach NOTE: NO Lifeguard on Duty

  1. The beach will be for members and their families and their guests. Wives may use the beach in the absence of their husband (member). Children will be accompanied by a parent or a member
  2. No new rentals of the beach to outside organization, clubs, or businesses other than approved by the body.
  3. Members wishing to reserve the beach for the day may do so providing:

A: They reserve the date with the beach chairman and the calendar chairman.

B: Only club members' families and friends will use the beach

Note: parties should be a maximum of approximately 30 people.

Note: the word “friends” is not to be used to circumvent the club policy of rentals to outside organization, clubs, or businesses.

  1. Those groups that have been approved to use the beach will provide their own registered Life guard should they wish to use the swimming facilities.
  2. Each group using the beach will be responsible for cleaning the trash and dumping the barrels in the dumpster.
  3. No pets allowed on the beach. This excludes parking area, non beach area.
  4. No fishing from the beach area while the beach is in use.
  5. No camping or any vehicles are allowed on the beach.
  6. No Glass beverage bottles allowed on the beach and all surrounding areas.
  7. Those using the beach do so at their own risk.
  8. No fireworks on the beach.
  9. No removal of picnic tables unless approved by the B.O.D.
  10. Cooking in approved fire pits or grills only (no grills on tables)

 

 

Camping

  1. Camping is for members only and their guests (max 2 sites)
  2. All camping vehicles must be legally registered.
  3. Camping in approved sites only.
  4. Members may not camp in a campsite for more than 7 days.
  5. Members wishing to use the campground will register with the camp chairman.
  6. Members using the campground must remove all rubbish and garbage and clean up site before leaving.
  7. Cooking fires only allowed at campsites.
  8. No cutting standing timber in campground or on club grounds without chairman’s consent.
  9. Cars and trucks must park in the site parking area only. All other roadways must be kept clear for emergency vehicles and other campers to have free passage in and out of camping area.
  10. Members are responsible for their children, guests and pets at all times while using the campground.

Rifle

  1. BE CAREFUL (SAFETY 1ST ALWAYS)
  2. All local, state, and federal laws must be followed
  3. No alcoholic beverages on the range.
  4. Deliberate destruction of range property will result in an appearance before the B.O.D.
  5. Paper targets only (unless otherwise specified by chairman) i.e. (woods walk)
  6. No leaving trash or spent cartridges
  7. Members must wear club pin and be present with any guests.
  8. All members and shooters must register in rifle range shooting log (located in members room)
  9. NO FULL METAL JACKETS

Archery

  1. SAFETY AT ALL TIMES (make sure shots are clear).
  2. Committee members are responsible for the upkeep of targets and coarse.
  3. All committee members shall work the day of and the day before all 3 D shoots.
  4. No Broad-heads are allowed to be shot at coarse targets
  5. No alcohol allowed on the archery course
  6. Trash or broken arrows are to be disposed of properly
  7. All Local, State and Federal laws apply to archers on coarse

 

 

 

Fish and Game

  1. 3 trout per day per member & guest max
  2. All foul hooked trout must be kept (catch & release permitted)
  3. Members may have guest, in winter 5 tilts per member and guest combined in open water season 1 rod per guest.
  4. Members must accompany guest while fishing, not just on the premises.
  5. NO CORN ALLOWED IN POND
  6. No fishing from the beach while the beach is in use.
  7. No gasoline-powered boats are allowed on the pond.
  8. Club pin must be worn while fishing.
  9. All state laws pertaining to fish and game apply unless otherwise noted.

Special Events

1.       The purpose of Special Events committee is to promote interest in the club.

2.       Special Events committee is not responsible for clean up after functions, but some assistance may be given

3.       Special Events committee will be notified of any changes for functions pertaining to this committee, and will work with Bar and Kitchen committees in coordinating the function.

4.       Special Events committee will be responsible for setting up the bands, printing tickets, and any other duties pertaining to the committee

5.       Special Events will direct and assist all functions as seen fit by the B.O.D. & club body.

Bulletin

  1. Responsible for newsletter info to the WCL news publication by each months deadline
  2. Responsible for managing the club website.

Good and Welfare

  1. G&W will take notice of any member or family tragedy and make appropriate suggestions by the B.O.D.
  2. G&W will make notice of prosperous club achievements
